Whew. Nearly a week under our belts at Royal Gardens and we have learned a lot.
The members of the EPC have taken to singles play like ducks to water. Our 3.0 sessions are full to over-capacity and the other skill levels are using a good portion of the allotted spots.
While we continue to play at half-capacity (singles) we would ask that 3.0 members book only one session per day at Royal Gardens. We have received many comments this week from 3.0 level players who could not play because other 3.0 members were sometimes playing twice a day. The courts at Jasper Park, that are tentatively scheduled to open on Monday, June 8, should relieve some of the supply shortfall and, when Derwent Park at Bonnie Doon is ready for play later this season, we will have over double the number of courts now in play at Royal Gardens.
There is a link to a copy of the Royal Gardens schedule attached to this email. The schedule for Jasper Park will be posted as soon as it is finalized.
A note on Sign Up Genius (SUG), the invitations to book playing times will be emailed to all members on Sunday evenings. If, by Sunday night, you have not received your email, please check all your email boxes. Sometimes the filters on your computer will move the SUG invitation to your spam file.
Because the new member enrollment in our Wild Apricot Membership system and the SUG sign up is handled by different volunteers, it takes approximately three days for new members to be put in the SUG system. Your first SUG invitation will be sent about three days after your enrollment and only on a Sunday. So, if you register and pay your club fee early in the week, you should receive your first SUG invitation the following Sunday. If you join the club late in the week (or on the weekend) you may not receive your first SUG invitation until the second Sunday after joining.
Information from our Wild Apricot Membership system does not interface with our SUG program. So, if you change your rating on your profile, you must still let our membership coordinator know at email@example.com. The SUG program does not automatically accept your changes to your Wild Apricot member profile.
Best regards, Ran Newby.
