2019 Outdoor Court Schedule at Royal Gardens - March 24. 2019
While the opening of the Courts at Royal Gardens is still several weeks away, here is our first edition of our Spring Court Schedule. We have made improvements to last year’s schedule based on your feedback.
Take a look – here is what’s new for 2019:
The schedule is for all seven days of the week to accommodate those members who want to play on the weekends.
Some sessions are two hours long and some are three hours long – our response to your requests.
We have added two age bracketed sessions to the schedule for players who are 65+ and who want to play a more recreational game of Pickleball – just for fun. We will still loosely group players by ability and then organize some fun activities. We expect this to be a spirited, raucous group with lots of good camaraderie. Now, this does not mean that all of us who are 65+ must play at these sessions – these sessions are just an option.
We have added two sessions which are labelled “All Ages”. Eligible youth may play at these sessions and adult players at these sessions must expect and accept play with youths who are rated to play at those sessions.
We have added two sessions for Family Play. At Family Play sessions, at least one adult who is an EPC member must be present and participating with his/her family grouping. All other participants must complete a Club Waiver Form prior to the start of play. The Club Waiver Form will be available on site and on the club website.
We have added two one hour long Beginners Sessions. These are available for true beginners. Some instruction may be provided but it is largely intended to help players learn the basics of the game and to meet other members of similar ability.
The popular Friday afternoon session will exclusively be A Track It Hub Ladder Event for 3.5 and 4.0+ run by Patrick Wells, Barry Siwak and Kareem Hamdon. More information about these events will be sent out in due course to the 3.5 group and the 4.0+ group.
All sessions will be sent out for sign up on Sign Up Genius, just like last year. These are not drop in events. Our Sign Up Genius guru, Kareem Hamdon, will set up all our sessions on SUG. What could be finer?
Once the courts are ready for play, we will let you know. Right now, there is still some water and snow on them and the tarps are still covering the six permanent courts.
