YOU MEET THE NICEST PEOPLE ON A PICKLEBALL COURT

 Newsletter - July 4, 2018.

Hello Everyone,

Just a short note to you today.

Singles, Anyone?

We have received the following invitation from our sister club, Parkland Pickleheads in Spruce Grove:

“EPC members are invited to participate in Interclub Singles Play in Spruce Grove on Sundays from 12:00- 2:00pm. If you are interested, please go to parklandpickleheads.com to sign up and once signed up,   you  will receive a weekly Sign Up Genius invitation to participate in the next Sundays’ play. The play levels will be Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced so there will be something for everyone.”

Our Wind Sock is Gone

We lost our wind sock during the Canada Day weekend but fear not, we will get another.  Watch for it.

AED Update

We are buying a case to hold the AED and we will mount the case inside the Sport Room, right beside the fire extinguisher.  Ran Newby is on the case (pun).

2.0-2.5 and 3.0 Ladders on Wednesdays 1:00-3:00

These ladders are going very, very well!  Player turnout is great with seven courts playing today! Spirit is high with lots of hooting and cheering from players!  If you haven’t tried it yet, you are missing out on a good time.  Watch for it in next week’s SUG invites and sign up to join in the fun.

These ladders are organized by Lynne Vickers!  Thank you, Lynne!  Super job!

Ladder on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 for 3.5 and 4.0 players

This is becoming a real favorite!  So, we have expanded this ladder to include 4.0 players.

Scores are recorded on Track It Hub but your invitations come out on SUG so watch for it among your SUG invitations and sign up on SUG.  You cannot simply arrive on the day of this ladder and expect to play.  We are using complex technology for this ladder so help us keep our stress levels low by signing up on SUG.

Many thanks to Kareem and Barry Siwak who are handling the Track It Hub program and Patrick Wells is our Court Marshall for this one.  Complaints?  See Patrick!

Courts Washing

Also many thanks to Tom Sperling and Sheila Sutherland and Kareem who washed the courts this afternoon.  All in a day’s work for our hardy EPC Volunteer Maintenance Team!  Thank you.
