As the President and Project Manager of the New Court Construction, I'm pleased to send you the news from your Edmonton Pickleball Club Board of Directors that our new courts are ready for play at Royal Gardens Community League – 4030-117 Street NW, Edmonton.

The permanent nets have been installed since this picture was taken.

We now have 6 absolutely fabulous new dedicated Pickleball courts with the latest Plexipave 3 Colour Finish System plus 4 more new Pickleball courts (shared with a tennis court) on new asphalt. The 6 courts have permanent nets installed and only the 4 other Pickleball courts use temporary nets when required.

The first day of play will be Sunday, September 24 from Noon to 4:00 PM.  It is a Drop-In Event for all skill levels.  Please come out to see (and play) on the new courts ... weather permitting.

The NEW Pickleball Courts this fall can be accessed via the original east gate and our storage box will both use padlocks with the same combination used this year: MEMBERS CLICK HERE FOR ACCESS TO THE COMBINATION Then you can take out the master padlock key from the storage chest to open one or more of the 4 new gates in the middle, south and west fence lines. If you want to play or practice during other OPEN times, please enjoy the facility and you can use the balls, paddles and portable nets (if necessary) in the storage chest. Remember IF YOU ARE THE LAST TO LEAVE,  PLEASE LOCK ALL 5 GATES.   New Combination locks will be installed in 2018 on all gates.

The new fall play schedule will be on a week to week basis and maybe with some luck from Mother Nature we can enjoy our new courts until Thanksgiving.  Check our website REGULARLY  for details on the schedule which will be posted soon and updated as needed.  You can also form your own play groups of fellow members (and a limited number of invited guests this fall) to any of the other OPEN hours of play or on empty courts during scheduled events.

A Special Thank You to all the members who have supported the efforts to build the club and the new courts, including the Founders Club Members, the other Financial Supporters and many volunteers over the past two years.

Thank you,

Ken Hurshowy
