THE LATEST TCRC INDOOR PLAY SCHEDULE

The latest schedule received from TCRC is for the period of  April 10 to May 5 and has a few changes.  Katie of the City Rec advises: Please note: April 14 & 17 (Good Friday & Easter Monday)  - I managed to secure gym 2 (instead of gym 3) for the stat's. Holiday hours apply for April 17th.

April 28 - Non instructional School day thus only one gym.

April 18 & May 2 - Advanced Play time change due to previous booking. This booking was put into our scheduling system in June 2016, therefore it has priority over the time changes we made for Pickleball late 2016.

Since we added extra Pickleball times partway through the season and as we agreed upon, we cannot remove the bookings that were previously scheduled into the system.OneO

Thursday Afternoon Pickelball

One of our newest members, Mary Manley operates Love All Court Sports and has rented gym space at the Saville Community Sports Centre on Thursday afternoons from 1-3 PM and for a reasonable fee of $10 (or 5 visits for price of 4) is inviting all players to join in the fun. It will start April 20 for 5 weeks and everyone is welcome on the 6 courts.  Paddles and balls will be available.  Click and Open the attached flyer for all the details.  Saville Pickleball April 2017.pdf

Outdoor Pickleball:

Many players enjoy playing Outdoors from May to October (weather permitting) and the EPC currently has court facilities at the Royal Gardens Community League (RGCL), 4030-117 Street NW, Edmonton where your annual membership allows court access seven days a week from early to late night. During the summer we offer some lessons, and have scheduled drop-in and other events ~ members are emailed the latest activities.  You must be a member of the EPC to play on these courts.  Watch for a work party call and a spring schedule via email soon.
TCRC Pickleball Play Procedures

I have received some comments/complaints that some players are not observing the new Play Procedures at TCRC that were put in place by the City Rec departments on February 8.  We have a NEW WHITEBOARD EASEL for all to use.  Read the attached PDF sheet and when you are at the courts ask for help if you are not sure of the procedures.  Also explain politely to others how it works if necessary.  It is basically the same as before BUT once a new box for 4 players is started they go into rotation for play – which means once their “number” comes up their group must be 4 players or the available court will remain empty until the group of 4 is formed.  THIS APPLIES TO ALL GROUPS – SILVER & GOLD – NO JUMPING AHEAD OF ANY PARTIALLY FILLED BOX NUMBER.  Play nice folks and we will all have fun and exercise ... avoid having more stringent procedures put in place! It will arrive soon and will hopefully show great improvement over our current website with the ability to accept both New Membership Applications and Renewal Memberships with Credit Card payments. It will host a Club Directory (visible to Members Only) and include other features to keep you informed of our past, present and future activities.

Until that happens you are invited to visit our current Website and Facebook pages at http://edmontonpickleballclub.org and facebook.com/YEGPickleball
